1. Who We Are
Fair Play Sports Inc. ("Fair Play", "we", "us", or "our") is a company incorporated in the
State of North Carolina, United States. We operate the Fair Play mobile and web application

2. Information We Collect
When you register and use the App, we collect:
- Account information: first name, last name, email address, date of birth, and country of residence.
- Nickname: the display name you choose — shown in leaderboards and chat.
- Prediction data: the game picks and scores you submit.
- Group activity: groups you create, join, or administer.
- Chat messages: messages you send in group and game chats.
- Device push token: to deliver game reminders and result alerts to your device.
- Biometric credentials: if you enable biometric login, credentials are stored locally on your device only and never transmitted to our servers.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect phone numbers.
- We do not collect home or postal addresses.
- We do not collect payment or financial information — the App is free with no in-app purchases.
- We do not collect precise GPS location.
- We do not access your contacts, camera, or microphone.
- We do not store biometric data on our servers.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account.
- To operate group prediction pools and calculate scores.
- To send push notifications about game reminders, results, and group activity.
- To send account emails such as email verification and password resets, and important group notifications by email (for example, if you are removed from a group).
- To enforce our Terms of Service and community guidelines.
- To improve the App using aggregated, anonymized analytics.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Firebase (Google): authentication, database, push notifications, crash reporting, and analytics — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- SendGrid by Twilio: transactional email delivery for prediction confirmations — sendgrid.com/policies/privacy
- Anthropic Claude API: AI-powered bot player predictions (Bot McPuck, Bot McBall) — no personal user data is shared with this service.
- Public sports-data APIs: public sports data for game schedules and results — no personal data is shared with these services.
- Google Analytics for Firebase: anonymized app usage analytics.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- With service providers listed above who process data on our behalf.
- If required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of Fair Play Sports Inc., our users, or the public.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active.
When you delete your account, your personal data is removed from our active systems within 30 days.
Prediction history and anonymized analytics may be retained in aggregate form.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from
children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us
at legal@fpsports.app and we will delete it promptly.
EU/EEA users between the ages of 13 and 15 should obtain parental or guardian consent before
registering, as required by applicable national law under GDPR Article 8.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS),
Firebase security rules, and authenticated access controls. Passwords are never stored —
Firebase Authentication manages credentials using industry-standard hashing.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
10. Your Rights & Account Deletion
Depending on your country of residence, you may have the following rights under GDPR (EU/EEA),
CCPA (California), or other applicable law:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: request correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion: delete your account directly in the App (Profile → Delete My Account), or contact us at legal@fpsports.app.
- Portability: request your data in a portable format.
- Opt-out of notifications: manage preferences in the App's Notification Settings screen or your device settings.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will
notify you through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes
acceptance of the updated policy.
